Our Down Spiral cutter has high tool rigidity, long tool life and high quality finish. It is suitable for cutting natural wood and wood composites. The spiral down cut forces material down, and back into your material. This provides a clean top finish to any wood type, especially ply woods and laminates. The opposite of an Up Cut spiral, this down cut will give you a perfect top finish but a burred bottom finish if cutting all the way through. These bits are best for engraving & lettering.
